Giga Training recently facilitated a film making project with 10 young unemployed people from Springboard’s Wider Horizons programme. The young people had the opportunity to work with Giga Training’s team of professional film makers, using broadcast quality professional equipment while achieving an OCN Level 2 qualification in film making
Over the six week programme the group took on a wide range of film making roles from storyboard and script writing to directing and editing, and will shortly take a 7 week work placement in the film industry in Canada.
The end product was 2 trailers and 2 short films, written, scripted, planned, shot and edited, from scratch, by the young people. The group recently had their work shown at a special screening in Belfast’s QFT.
