Description

Belfast Festival of Learning returns for a third year in 2018, with a range of fantastic events throughout the city. The festival takes place between 5th-11th March, with events happening across greater Belfast, with an aim to encourage the participation of groups and individuals who have experienced barriers in accessing learning opportunities.

Coding is one of the hottest topics at the moment as it provides the backbone for many types of industries around the world from high end design to computer games and websites. The Code Club will give participants first hand experience of coding for a range of applications, from making an animation to programming their own moving vehicles. No previous coding experience is required, just an imagination and desire to be creative.

Each participant will have their own iPad to use a range of apps to create exciting code projects, but we will also be bringing a selection of programmable hardware so they could be programming their own racing cars or art bots!

The programme is aimed at young people aged 6-12 and is limited to only 14 spaces so early booking is essential.

The programme will run on Saturday 10th March from 12pm – 2pm at the Arts Resource Centre, 7 Donegall St Pl, in Belfast City Centre.

The workshop is FREE but registration is essential. You can register using the link above.
