As part of their groundbreaking “Get Started” Programme, The Prince’s Trust have teamed up with Giga Training to launch a DJ Skills programme in Belfast for young people aged 16-25 who are currently not in education, employment or training.
The course is designed to give participants a unique insight into one of the most sought after careers in the music business today, with hands on experience and training using state of the art equipment endorsed by superstar DJs around the globe.
During the 5 day long programme those taking part will not only gain a range of new skills but an OCN accredited qualification to boot. The Prince’s Trust will also supply three months of support after the programme to help participants move into education, employment or training.
The “Get Started with DJing” takes place in the OH Yeah Centre Belfast, from Monday 29th February to Friday 4th March in Belfast, running from 10am – 4pm on Monday to Thursday and 10am to 1pm on the Friday. The course is free with travel costs covered and lunch provided for each participant.
There is a taster session taking place on Wednesday 24th February, 4pm-5.30pm for anyone interested in taking part, trying out some of the DJ gear and chatting to the Giga DJs about the programme.
