Sampling is arguably one of the most influential studio innovations in music history spawning some of the most exciting musical genres such as Hip Hop and House. Our unique Sampling Techniques course takes a close look at the art of sampling from the classic hardware used to create those innovative tracks right through to the most up to date software tools available today.
Participants will get their hands on a mixture of hardware and software tools working towards creating original tracks and remixes. We delve into how to source good samples, what makes a good loop and how to deconstruct the sounds and rebuild them into any genre of electronic music.
The course is accredited by OCN at Level two so all participants will leave with not only new skills, completed tracks and remixes but a recognised Level 2 qualification worth 6 credits.
The Sampling Techniques Course takes place on Tuesday Evenings. The programme costs £285 including accreditation.
