PROGRAMMES
For all qualifications, a range of units can be hand picked, in conjunction with the school, to ensure that current student interests and abilities are addressed, making the most engaging, challenging and exciting course possible. Students will get the chance to record using state of the art studio equipment, create their own digital tracks, run live gigs and get an insight into the music business.

VOCATIONAL SKILLS
The music industry in Northern Ireland has never been healthier, with it’s musicians, songwriters, producers and DJs being recognised on a global platform. Participants will develop a vocational portfolio of work, learning real industry skills used by professionals in the business.
EDUCATIONAL ROUTES
All programmes provide a recognised path towards Higher Education, University and employment, giving students a GCSE or GCE equivalent qualification.
BTEC LEVEL 2 & 3
Level Equivalent: GCSE/A-Level
Timeframe: 2 Years
Each BTEC qualification is made up of mandatory units plus a number of optional subject specific units that can be selected in conjunction with the school, based on student interests. Specialist units include Audio Production, Creative Writing, Video Production, Website Production, Graphic Design and Lighting. All BTEC qualifications feature a combination of internally assessed coursework and one examinable unit.
CCEA Occ Studies
Level Equivalent: GCSE
Timeframe: 1 or 2 Years
The Occupational Studies programmes consist of two units chosen, in consultation with the school, from a vocational area, making up a full Level 2 qualification. All Occupational Studies programmes require no previous knowledge of the subject and are perfect for participants who find the traditional GCSE routes challenging. Subjects can include Digital Imaging, Digital Music, Sound Production and TV and Film Production.
CCEA Performance Skills
Level Equivalent: GCSE
Timeframe: 1 Year
Comprising of three mandatory units, one looking at the different aspects of working in the creative industries, a second that develops a range of techniques for performance and a final unit that looks at effective rehearsal aiming towards a final performance. Performance can be instrument based or focussed on DJing and music technology. All work is internally assessed with a filmed final performance.
