Oh Yeah Music Centre – Capital Xtra Music Potential Programme
Earlier this year we were delighted to be asked by the team at OH Yeah Music Centre to deliver a music production and studio recording programme as part of the groundbreaking Capital Xtra Music Potential project.
We delivered a ten day programme in partnership with OH YEAH for young unemployed people with an interest in the music business, showing them how to compose, record and produce their own music tracks. The talent on display was amazing, with singer-songwriters, MCs, producers and a range of different musicians from different musical backgrounds, all taking part.
The programme was headed up by Gary Curran, from The Japanese Popstars, who brought his own unique take on production and song-writing, having worked with a wide range of music legends from Green Velvet to Robert Smith of The Cure.
The group gelled brilliantly as you can hear from the final joint track they produced, which you can listen to below. You can also check out a highlights video from the whole programme which saw hundreds of young musicians come together for training, mentoring, industry panels and networking. What a week it was!!
