We had a great time working with young people from Footprints Women’s Centre. We spent the time with the group completing an OCN L1 in DJ skills which included the fundamentals of DJing and the health & safety aspects of setting up DJ rigs and electrical equipment. The young people got the chance to create their own playlists to create a bespoke mix. The young people covered the theoretical side using Kahoot quizzes as a fun and engaging, digital alternative to paperwork. The group spent time honing the order of their tracks into a setlist in preparation for recording. We wrapped up the course by completing a practical assessment in setting up and dismantling a DJ rig before recording their final DJ mixes. You can check out content they created below!
