Falls Women’s Centre & Cara Friend Photography Programme

Giga were delighted to have been involved in a collaborative OCN Level 2 photography  project with The Falls Women’s Centre and Cara-Friend. The Housing Executive funded project worked with a group of young women completing an OCN Level 2 in photography, with photos themed around marriage equality with the aim to challenge perceptions & document challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community. As part of the process the young women worked with professional photographers learning about different photography styles and techniques using Canon DSLR’s. The resulting pictures were showcased at Stormont for a 2 week period with a launch event in March in Stormont’s long gallery.
