EBAP TBUC - Digital Arts

Over the last 3 months we have been working with 16 young women from East Belfast who are taking part in an Education Authority TBUC programme. Many of the young people hadn’t met each other before lockdown, so we started by getting them to gather 6 photographs and create a photo collage using the Canva graphic design app, to share things about their lives that are important to them.

 

The collages were great and there were lots of stories behind the pictures including family gatherings, favourite holidays, dream careers, the MCU, animations and indie rock bands.

 

Over the next 7 sessions the young women worked on a range of digital art sessions, including book design, music production and logo creation, culminating in creating digital Comic Books that looked at different cultures around the world, from fashion, foods, music and travel.
