Making It In Music OLOL

Calling all filmmakers, DJ’s, producers and musicians – Our Lady Of Lourdes, Ballymoney has teamed up with creative media experts Giga Training to offer 36 young people, the opportunity to take part in a FREE, exciting film and music project.

The programme, which will take place Monday 30th June – Friday 4th July (10am – 4pm), at Our Lady Of Lourdes School Ballymoney. The project, which is open to all post primary young people (aged 11-18), will provide participants with hands on experience in DJ’ing, film making, studio production, rock band song writing & performance. Teams will be created for each area with the aim of working towards writing and recording original music as well as filming an accompanying music video. The programme will finish with a showcase event which will include a screening of the music films and a performance of the music and DJ mixes created during the programme.

Participants will also get the opportunity to get involved in a number of career advice sessions focusing on the Creative Industries.  Industry experts will be on hand to answer questions, offer guidance and tips on how to make a career in the music and film making industry.
