The Pixel Project
Over the last 4 months we have been delivering a good relations digital media project with young people from across North Belfast. The Pixel Project featured young people from Cliftonville Community Centre, Westland Community Group and Let Youth Lead participating in a number of facilitated digital media programmes led by Belfast Electronic Arts and Music Academy (BEAMA), Giga Training and Westland Community Group.
The project, funded by Belfast City Council Good Relations Unit, engaged with young people aged 12 – 17 yrs from across north Belfast with the aim of improving good relations. It is hoped that the project will break down existing prejudices and increase learning about difference.
Participants took part in a range of hands on, creative media workshops in electronic music, djing, and film production, producing digital content which was screened as part of the showcase.
