🌟 Step Into the World of Filmmaking and Media

We’re beyond excited to launch Arts Across the Genres: Documentary Film and Media Skills Project, which is part of Belfast City Council’s Local Community Action Plan, supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), with match funding provided by the Executive Office in Northern Ireland and the Department of Rural and Community Development in Ireland.

Are you 15–17 years old and ready to turn your ideas into films that get seen on the big screen and social media? Join our Documentary Film and Media Skills Project and learn everything from camera work to content creation—no experience needed!

 

🎥 What You’ll Do

✅ Create a Documentary – Learn to film, edit, and tell powerful stories about community, identity, and inclusion.
✅ Social Media Content Creation – Produce short, scroll-stopping videos for TikTok, Instagram, and more.
✅ Create Quarterly Digital Newsletters – Share the Arts Across the Genres journey with the community through behind-the-scenes updates and stories.
✅ Work with Real Filmmakers & Mentors – Learn the tricks of the trade from pros.

 

🗓 Project Highlights

  • 36 After-School Sessions – 2 Royal Avenue, 4–6 PM starting September
  • 20+ On-Location Filming Days – Capture real events and interviews
  • Create social media Content & learn design skills
  • Free Food & Refreshments at every session

  • Your Documentary Premieres at a Gala Screening for 600+ people!
